Family Memories on Puppy Dome

I came across this picture and couldn't resist posting it. We have many family photos on top of Puppy Dome in Tuolumne Meadows because Aunt Chris started the tradition of doing a hike to the top of Puppy Dome at least once during the many family camping trips. This one includes from left in the back Tripp Thompson, Craig and Brenda Faulkner, Katie Thompson (our God-daughter), Dennis, Tabitha Thompson, Rena (pregnant with Carsten)and Nathan Kirkland, Chris Thompon, Candace, Angie, Ralph and Moria Godfrey and me. What a great shot!! Thanks to whoever took the picture...??

Craig Comes to Visit

Our son-in-law Craig flew out for the weekend and took Dennis to the Bronco/Seahawk pre-season football game. Nathan joined in and they had a blast. Here are the three of them drinking beer in the streets of Lyons yesterday.
We had dinner at Rena and Nathan's last night and after the boys had their baths, we all went for a walk to see their hide-out and play on the pipes in the open land behind their house. Here they are leading the way in their PJ's and shoes.
Uncle Craig assisting on the pipe climbing. These pipes have been sitting here for years.
Grant and Carsten inside a pipe. Carsten started Kindergarten this past week...what a big kid.

Favorite Pictures

Cousins, Moria and Charlie sharing some snacks.
Dennis with our youngest grandchild, Elsie Ryan Faulkner. She is so precious!
Laney hamming it up, with Aunt JoAnn in the background who had no idea she would be having her baby in just a couple of days.
Another cousin shot, this time Charlie and Katya. They are really starting to have fun together.

Beautiful Sky

While Dennis went to bed early, I stayed up and took in the sky as night fell....amazing wonders from our Creator!

More Adventures

Here we are at Fish Lake...elevation 10,000 feet! It was worth all the work to get here; reminded us of the High Sierra's.
Here is one of the dirt roads we ventured down. As you can see there were a lot of puddles we had to ride around or in some cases, ride through. Beautiful country and we had it all to ourselves.
Here is a picture we took of ourselves...a storm was brewing so we had to head back to our van.
A view from one of the high spots on the ride. There are a lot of dead trees from bark beetle but the view was still amazing.
