I painted this old table that was my moms to match the room.

No doors on the closet so my fabric is within easy reach!

Upstairs & Roses

 The upstairs hallway with door on left leading the office and the one beyond is my sewing room.

 Here is our room with the "mood" lights on.

 This is the guest room--we can't wait for you to all come and visit!!

Roses in the front yard. They are blooming even more now.

Entry and Flowers

This is the living room part of the house. We need some sitting chairs or a small couch but that will come later. Rena helped me put up the quilt and the shelves.

 Here is the front door. Off to the left is the living room and beyond the living room is the dinning room.

 Here is some beautiful flowers from our backyard. Who can tell me what the big pink ones are called? Are they peonies??  I think my grandma grew these but I'm just not sure of the name. They are huge! The picture below shows them growing on the bush. There is the pink bush and there is also a hot pink bush. Beautiful and fun!!

I will post pictures of the upstairs soon. Right now I have to get ready for company--nieces Page her hubby Matt and Robin and boyfriend Ross are coming over along with the Kirkland's. Dennis is in CA--can you believe it???  He went fishing in the Sierra's with his brother Dan and will meet up with Stan Marlow and sons.

Easter Fun in Colorado

 I'm giving you a break from house pictures and sharing some pictures of the boys at our house for Easter. Above they are dying their eggs.

 The Easter bunny came to their own house and our house---lucky kids!!

Dennis and the boys made cinnamon rolls for Easter morning. Yum, yum!!

Our New Kitchen and Powder Room

 One of our favorite parts of the house is the kitchen. The sink over the kitchen looks into the back yard.

 The little antique table fits perfect, although it needs re-finishing really bad.

 It's nice how the kitchen looks into the family room but is still separate.

The downstairs powder room is painted a slate blue which is very different for me. I made the flower arrangement out of fake stems and fake water.

House Pictures

The paint turned out so nice and we love the chandelier over the table.

It was hard to figure out where to put all my nick-nacks.

The picture on the left was painted by Dennis' Aunt Elaine. It looks great with the furniture and drapes.

We are heading to Hanford today for Scott's Change of Command!!! To tide you over I have posted some pictures of the new house (finally!). We love the paint and having pictures up makes the house really feel like home now. I'm not sure if I'm going to hang the pictures over the firplace or stick with the "leaning" look.

Spring time at Sparrow Hawk

Dennis is very excited to have a real outdoor Christmas tree to put lights on this year. I am excited to have real lilac plants and aspen trees in our yard!

Fruita Fat Tire Festival

The new picture on the top of my blog was taken in Fruita CO with the Colorado River in the background. We had a great time at the Fat Tire Festival and the weather was perfect. More pictures are above. The strangest thing was when it was time to go home we headed east instead of west! That was a little weird feeling.
