We decided to go for a last minute camping trip in the Steamboat Springs area which is about av3.5 hour drive north. We left at 6:30am on Saturday and found this awesome campsite at Dumont Lake which is about a half hour short of Steamboat. We never saw the lake itself which is good because it was drained but we had a great time and what a wonderful view.
The weather was mostly good but we had some rain in the evening. We met a super nice couple who we rode with and then they invited us to their campsite for drinks and dinner. We had so much in common with them is was crazy...mountain bikers, campers, he used to ride motorcycles and she is a quilter!!
The trails were amazing and beautiful and over 9000 feet in elevation!
Here I am doing a steam crossing. Fun times!!!
