Changes A-Foot for the Dennis Thompson Clan

This will be on the brief side but I wanted to let you all know that there are some major changes going on for our kids. We were the first ones to make a major move and next will be Brenda, Craig and the girls. They will be moving to Indianapolis, Indiana in less than a month!! Craig has accepted a position with his company Dow AgroScience and it means they have to move. They put their house on the market and it sold in less than a week. The movers come on August 1st to pack pack up their belongings. Luckily for us they will still be joining us for a family camping trip on Washington on August 3rd and then will follow us home to spend a few days with us before heading to Indiana. In the mean time next weekend they are flying out to Indy to house hunt. I hope and pray they find something that they like. If not, they will have to rent until they continue to look. Again luckily for us they will be having a one night lay-over in Denver so we will get to see them for a very short visit. Another  great thing is that sister Chris and Pam will be here visiting us so they will get to see Brenda and Craig as well. Please keep Brenda and family in your prayers as they go through this stressful but exciting time.

The next ones to make a very major change are Candace, Scott and the girls who will be moving to Norfolk, Virginia for 3 months while Scott attends a Navy College and then they are moving to Stuttgart, Germany!!!  Scott is being assigned there for 3 years! They are very happy and excited about this move and are looking forward to seeing the sights in Europe. Charlie and Laney will attend a school where they will be taught in English but will learn German. Wow...what a change that will be!!  They will be renting out their house in Hanford while they are gone and will sell it later. In the mean time they are going on a trip to Scotland with Scott's family after which they will come home and pack for two different moves.

Rena and Nathan are not making a major move (thank goodness) but Nathan resigned from his job with Certa-Pro paint and is starting his own business selling franchises. Rena is making great progress on her dissertation and hopes to graduate by December! We are SO very proud of her and can't believe how hard she has worked to make this happen. She still has a lot of late nights and weeks of work ahead so please keep her in your prayers as well.

We are having a wonderful, rainy, cool night with lots of thunder. It is a welcome relief after a week of near triple digit temperatures.

Love to you all, Dana
